I love the images you create, but stylistically, I also love the shortness of the moments in each stanza, and the execution: the sounds in these pieces are AMAZING. If you just let go of meaning for a second and let the sounds roll off your tongue it just feels like eating beauty.

Sorry to be effusive, no other way of explaning. I didn't preface this before because I had just written it at about 4 or 5 this morning.

I was really stuck with this prompt, but I used to do these set of 6 syllabic quatrains on topics when I got stuck on an idea in grad school. They normally helped me suss out what I was trying to say.

remimian -- thanks for the kind words.

dennis -- what an ego boost. Just what I needed today.

gautami -- i like your take on it. I don't know why I'm obsessed with fragility, but maybe that's why.

carolee -- funny that they should remind you of haiku. I've been doing a lot of those lately. Maybe it's rubbing off.

colorful prose -- we didn't do the bubble thing at my wedding, but I like it at others. There's something pretty magical about those bubbles floating around.

jim -- thanks for the comment. I work pretty hard on the sounds in my poetry, and I'm happy that you noticed. Although, I don't know if I'd call dangle an ugly word...:)

slp-- speaking of fun words, dodder is pretty awesome. although I think I'm using it wrong.
